Roger and Ann Martin formed Martin Roofing in 1973. Although starting small with only two other staff members they were involved in many large contracts such as the Eastern Institute of Technology, Whakatu Freezing Works extensions, Hastings City Council offices and various buildings in the industrial area of Onekawa in Napier.
In 1984 Martin Roofing became a registered company. Over the past thirty years we have been involved in approximately 80% of all major commercial building contracts in Hawkes Bay. We have also completed more than fifteen million dollars worth of contracts outside the Hawke's Bay area - the Mystery Creek Events Centre, reroofing of the Air Force Hangars at Whenuapai, insulation tanks at Marsden Point and a large number of coolstores in the Tauranga and Gisborne areas.
Martin Roofing Company Ltd is the largest roofing fixing specialist in Hawkes Bay.
In 2003, Peter Hoverd joined Roger Martin. He brought additional experience and expertise to the company giving us a sound base for the future.
As in all successful companies, our staff play a major roll, from estimating, office administration and roofing tradesmen.
